The Q works with approved food operators who may need commercial kitchen access, food truck commissary support, storage, refrigeration, warewashing, smoker or chargrill access, or retail pickup opportunities.
Not every operator needs the same arrangement.
A food truck may need commissary support.
A meal-prep operator may need scheduled kitchen time and refrigeration.
A BBQ operator may need kitchen access, pickup support, or separate smoker access.
A beginning food operator may need a smaller, legal way to test a focused food idea.
The first conversation helps us understand what you are trying to build and whether The Q may be a good fit.
Before You Contact The Q
It helps to think through a few basic questions:
What kind of food business are you trying to operate?
Do you need kitchen production time, commissary support, retail pickup, storage, refrigeration, freezer space, warewashing, smoker access, chargrill access, or something else?
Are you already approved by the Health Department, or are you still trying to understand what approval will require?
How often do you think you would need access?
Would customers pick up food from The Q, or would you use The Q only for behind-the-scenes production or commissary support?
You do not need to have every answer before calling.
But the more clearly we understand your idea, the better we can talk through the right next step.
Schedule a Tour
Tours are by appointment.
The Q is a working shared-use commercial kitchen and commissary, so visits need to be scheduled in advance.
During a tour, we can talk through:
- your food concept;
- the kind of access you may need;
- possible schedule;
- kitchen areas and equipment;
- retail pickup possibilities;
- storage or refrigeration needs;
- Health Department requirements;
- pricing and written agreement options.
The Q is not casual kitchen rental.
It is for serious food operators who want to operate legally, work safely, keep clear schedules, and build carefully.
