Overview

The Q is a permitted, shared-use commercial kitchen and commissary in Boaz. Operators select a tier based on the amount of scheduled kitchen time needed each month. Tier fees cover booked access time. In addition, variable operating costs are pooled monthly and allocated to operators based on booked hours so pricing remains fair across all users.

Variable operating costs include: water/sewer, electricity, routine garbage/dumpster service, and general cleaning & sanitizing supplies.


Kitchen Access Tiers (Monthly)

Tier 0 — $70/month
Includes 2 booked hours per month.

Tier 1 — $120/month
Includes 4 booked hours per month.

Tier 2 — $350/month
Includes 19 booked hours per month.

Tier 3 — $750/month
Includes 40 booked hours per month.

Tier 4 — $1,200/month
Includes 65 booked hours per month.

Tier 5 — $3,000/month
Includes 160 booked hours per month.

  • Booked hours include setup, production time, and cleanup/reset.
  • All tiers are scheduled in advance; hours include setup and cleanup.
  • Tier 5 is intended for high-volume operators and may require additional storage arrangements based on availability.

Additional Hours / Overage Time

If you need more hours than your tier includes, additional time must be scheduled in advance and is billed as follows:

  • Additional kitchen time: $18 per booked hour (subject to availability)
  • Time is scheduled in the calendar and includes setup and cleanup.

Variable Operating Cost Allocation (Monthly, in Arrears)

All variable operating costs are allocated pro-rata by booked hours.

Monthly Variable Charge Formula:
Operator Variable Charge = (Operator’s Total Booked Hours ÷ Total Booked Hours by All Operators) × Monthly Variable Cost Pool

Booked hours includes all reserved time blocks, including kitchen, smoker room, and chargrill bookings.

Note: Equipment/room-specific deep-clean programs (smoker room and chargrill) are funded through their specific add-on fees and are not charged to all operators.


Add-Ons

Smoker Room (10’ Lang Wood-Fired Smoker)

Smoker access is available to tiered operators only (Tier 0 and above) and must be scheduled.

  • Smoker Cleaning Program Fee: $125 per month (per smoker operator)
  • Operators furnish seasoned hardwood and must follow the posted smoker room reset checklist.

Chargrill Add-On

Chargrill access is available to tiered operators only and must be scheduled.

  • Chargrill Rate: $25 per scheduled block (90 minutes)
  • Rate includes standard between-operator reset chemicals/tools and a built-in deep-clean reserve.
  • Operators furnish cooking fuel–charcoal or hardwood–(per Q policy) and must follow the posted chargrill reset checklist.

Commissary Only (Non-Production) — $200/month

Commissary Only is designed for mobile/off-site operators needing servicing support. No cooking or food production is permitted.

Includes:

  • Up to 2 scheduled visits per week (30 minutes each)
  • Fresh water fill
  • Gray water disposal (where permitted)
  • Trash disposal (reasonable volume)
  • Access to hand sink and mop sink for servicing only

Additional visits: $20 per scheduled visit (pre-approved and scheduled).
Unauthorized production is billed at 1.5× Tier 1 hourly rate and may result in suspension or required tier upgrade.


Founding Operator Rates (Limited Availability)

In the launch phase, founding operator rates may be offered for a limited time and will be documented in the Operator Agreement (including any time-limited founding hours or pricing).
